About this breakbeach · sand · faces W
Powerful beach break just north of the head of Scripps Submarine Canyon. Scripps research shows long-period westerly swell refracted onto the shelf north of the canyon focuses here, while the area south of the canyon is sheltered. The main peaks are toward the south end; access is down unstable 300 ft cliffs and there are strong rips. For advanced surfers.
