About this breakreef · cobble · faces S
California's first state beach; State Parks describes a consistent break at the north end of the park suitable for beginner or experienced surfers, and surfing is restricted to the day-use beach north of San Juan Creek. The Dana Point headland and harbor close off everything west of about 221°. Water quality is often poor, especially after rain.
