About this breakpoint · cobble · faces SE
The inside section next to Malibu Pier at Surfrider Beach (Malibu Lagoon State Beach). Long, tapering point waves over the sand-and-cobble fan at the creek mouth, popular with longboarders. On the south swells of late August and September, rides can reach the pier. Swimming areas are limited, and the pier pilings are a hazard. Avoid the water for 72 hours after rain (LA County Public Health).
