About this breakpier · sand · faces SSW
Sand-bottom beach break either side of Seal Beach Pier. Catalina shadows roughly 193-239°, so south swells east of the island do most of the work. In summer, hardboard surfing is barred between the Anaheim Bay jetty and Tower 7 during posted hours; jumping or diving from the pier is prohibited. Rips form along the pilings.
